NYFW Spring 2011

And we're off... The official start to Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 Collections kicks off today. Don't fret if your not lucky enough to sit front row at the runway shows being staged this year at Lincoln Center, we have the web these days after all. And lucky enough, this season its all about live webcasts. So if your show invites happened to have gotten lost in the mail, or you just prefer to catch what the latest fashionable trends for spring will be in the comfort of your home wearing pajamas, your in luck. Jot down this list of live-streaming runway shows being offered this week to any and everyone for free.
Firstcomesfashion.com, a new player in the world of fashion show live-streaming is offering up a pretty hefty viewing schedule with the likes of Prabal Gurung (Sept 11th at 1pm), Oscar de la Renta (Sept 16th at 5pm) and Narciso Rodriguez (Sept 14th 8pm).
•Industry fave style.com plans to live-stream 3.1 Phillip Lim (Sept 15th at 2pm) and Proenza Schouler (Sept 15th 8pm).
•Known for being the toughest show to get into, be sure not to miss this one... Catch the Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 runway show via marcjacobs.com (Sept 13th at 8pm).
•And if you happen to be in NY this Saturday, head downtown where Alexander Wang will project his show live (Sept 11th at 5pm) onto buildings at 5 sites in lower Manhattan. We're guessing at least 1 viewing will be in the LES.
